An end table is very flexible pieces of furniture. It can be used as stand alone accent tables or can hold decorative items such a flower vases, photographs etc. An end table can also be used for placing cups and glasses on, but care should be taken to ensure that either coasters are always used to protect the finish, or it should have glass or laminate table tops. Since an end table is normally slim and tall, be careful not to place heavy objects on it as these can make the table top heavy and increase the chances of the table tipping over.
