A sofa table is normally rectangular in shape, although oval and semi circle styles are also available. They are meant to stand next to a wall and are great for use in places that need some furniture in them but have limited space and are high traffic areas, like halls and passages. A sofa table can be used just as an accent piece for of for keeping decorative items on. A sofa table kept in the entrance hall makes for a great place to keep car keys and all the other little things you need to pickup before venturing out of the house.
